Before I began working with Leigh, I was of the opinion that I probably had this whole 'editing' thing wrapped up. No, I had not gone to school for editing, but I'd been a ravenous book-worm my whole life and I'd aced every English class I'd been in. I knew what looked right. And then Leigh sent a single pass of her work back on a beta-read. I was blown away within three paragraphs. Not only did she obviously know way more about how the English language is put together, but she knew how to fix the errors I'd let slip and, more importantly, why they were wrong. I'm never going without her again.

I’ve been working with Leigh since 2009. She’s been a valuable asset to my writing career. She really goes the distance by getting to know the author’s voice and the character’s personalities. Working with Leigh is always a satisfying experience. I highly recommend her services.

[*wink* A very busy writer at the moment!]

Leigh is my right hand gal. Without her I would be completely lost. Her attention to detail is impecable! The way she understands my vision and offers even more because she knows the characters so well is amazing! Not too mention how flexible, straight forward, and kind she is when she's letting me know I've put my characters in Summer, when two weeks ago it was Thanksgiving!

Leigh was a great find, and I'll never let her go!

My work wouldn't be where it is, if it wasn't for Leigh.

I write a pretty intricate story, a "series of series" where everything melts and bends together. There's a lot to keep track of, But Leigh is on it.

I tease her all the time that she is what "makes good great" when it comes to my writing, but I mean it everytime. Leigh is more than just an editor for me, she is a business partner, and I have no problems trusting her opinions when it comes to my work.

Working with Leigh is one of the best investments I ever made for my business.

Wonderful People

I’ve always admired your work ethic and your spirit of cooperation . . . I realize I may be referring more people to you than you can handle . . .

William Greenleaf, editor with Greenleaf Literary Services, a wonderful compliment and a boost to my confidence

[T]he way you worded it was pretty dynamite... Thanks so much.

I really like what you've done to Memoirs. You are a genius, no doubt.

–Darryl Roth, author, too high praise after editing his family’s diaries from a war in Tzarist Russia

HOLY COW!!!! I never imagined you could finish a whole ms in less than a day. [...Y]ou did a lot and offered numerous really good alternate wordings and things -- far more than I thought you could possible do in a day.

Your edits really helped, and I'm also happy you thought it was tighter this time!

Now I'm watching my wases all the time, not just in writing, and I've realized I use it quite infrequently in my daily life - sort of an indication I really shouldn't use it in my writing!

Thanks a million, you did a wonderful job!
